upgrade to the 20d, or get 17-40L lense?

hey, i have the rebel xt right now and im not sure if i should take it back and get the 20d, or keep the rebel and get the 17-40L lense. The upgrade to the 20d would be about 450 dollars.

I like the rebel xt, but i just wish it had the ISO control that the 20d offers along with the 5fps 23 shot burst. What would you do?

Are you talking about the 30D? It has ISO in 3rd stop increments, that was one of it's new features over the 20D. It has a better frame buffer as well.

no, im talking about the 20d, doesn't it have better ISO control over the rebel xt? the rebel can only use ISO 100,200,400,800 and 1600. the 20d can go up to 3200 and go in between 800 and 1600, right?

The 20D I had only had 1 stop increments but yes it does go to ISO 3200. The 3rd stop increments and the spot meter were really the 2 major deals the 30D brought to the table.
