Boat is a Nautique 211 team with the stock Clarion deck powering 6 internal speakers + a hifonics amp power 4 tower speakers.. when the boat is in the unit sitting on the trailer we can get the volume up to 33 and no cutting out.. once the boat is on the water and we are moving anything past 27 and everything starts to cut out...

What gives?

Probably a low voltage problem. How many batteries are you running?

As you out longer does the ability to turn up to 27 get harder to do?

is it when you get to 28 on the volume that it cuts out or when the boat gets to a certain RPM? if its the volume you might have the amp working too hard. if its when you get to a certain RPM you might have a bad alternator

I would guess it's a battery/alternator issue then.

Also take a look at your amp and tell us what the lights on it are doing. I.E. Flashing from Green to Red, Staying solid Red, Staying Green, etc..
