Hi, my partner and I have been working on developing a cable park near Winnipeg, Canada. We will be naming the park : Fort Rixen, Home of the Flatland Cable Park.
We've setup a temporary website, to host a survey (10 questions) to help us finish our business plan. I'm simply asking WW members to take 1min fill it out.
Thanks in advance!

It would much easier if you posted a link.

Mine is in. Seems like a great concept. I would do some work on the logo though, it looks like a golf course logo rather than an extreme sports complex. Good luck.

Thanks for your thoughts on the logo. I thought the same thing when I saw it. My partner is a graphic designer and so it isn't a big deal to get them worked on.
We like it but agree that it is too clean looking. We will rough it up for different uses, like JetPilot does.

As far as the FCP logo, it will be changing to include the entire title Flatland Cable Park. The FCP logo will be a sort of sub-logo.

What are your favorite features of any cable park? Do you go mainly for the obstacles? What other reasons?

Have at least 1 box...low to the water -- at least one easy hit so anyone can ride and do things

anything beyond that is up to you...I would try to keep it even for Rt and Left foot riders... most parts are bias... share the love

What are your opinions on having a system that runs clockwise as oposed to the traditional counter-cw? It is possible to have the system built this way but it usually isn't.
Do you think, that this would be an attraction for some riders or a deterant for some?
Apparently there are 2-3 parks that run this way.

Well it would be an attraction for reg riders and a deterant for goofy. But all in all it wouldn't make to much of a difference. Like nick said just try and balance it out for both foot forward people. Try and think up of different types of rails not seen before to try and attract people.

We've had 50 peeps fill out the survey, here are some of the comments...
1.I think Manitoba needs a summer and winter playground close to Winnipeg, I believe that this park would bring in more tourists and would be beneficial for the surrounding communities. This Park is a great Idea for the simple fact that it is based on being environment friendly.
2.I'd love to see another cable park in North America! I went to that cable park "Beach Club" near Montreal and it was terrible. It was literally falling into the water (the counter weight fell into the water). Sooo..... it'd be nice to have a cable park to visit in Canada that was new and run properly.
3.This is what we need! A solid wake jibb lake full of sick features.. 100% STOKED!

Thanks guys!
www.fortrixen.com to fill the survey!

Justin,

Best of luck man, only thing I'd like is if it was in Minnesota instead of Winnepeg but you could prolly talk me into making the drive north.

69 has come and gone. We've reached 100.
A few interesting comments:
1.I'd love to see this happen and I'd like to see the park recreated in addtional areas, in addition to pushing the sport to new levels this would really help get more and more people exposed to wakeboarding and waterskiing!!!
2.Good ideas. I hope it flies. Bus tours, or some sort of Fort Rixen pickup spot(s) in the city on weekend mornings would be ideal - that way you could encourage people to get out of the city to come to your park. Your target audience may not all have wheels. Good luck!
3.Sounds gnarly, i no what im dreaming about tonite!
4.SICKK DAWG!!! YEA!!!

Thanks WWers.
