After two years on the stock 20's, I'm bored of looking at my tow rig. It's funny, I really liked the stock 20's when we bought it. Oh well...
There are so many choices in aftermarket wheels for GM's that I'm getting overwhelmed. So I'm looking for your suggestions on some 22's.
Anything goes, but please no black wheels.
Here are pics of some that I think are pretty nice. Boss 313's.
Post up your suggestions! Extra credit if you have pics!

I like my stock rims as well. They look really good when their clean and the tires have some shine. Buttt if I were to get some new shoes I would get some more rugged rims. I dont like to make tow vehicles-look to pimpy with 22's n chrome. Some 22in rockstars would look sick though I think. They have more of an aggressive mean look then pimpy.

Skip the rims and put more $$$ into the boat But if you did get rims I would get some nice black ones with a chrome lip. Looks sick on white cars.

I think the Boss 330's look sick on a suburban. Sorry the photo is black on black, but I really think the Silver or Chrome ones would look good on white and I would probably just go ahead and get 24's.

I have an 07 Tahoe and struggled with 22's. I have the Z71 so went with the Cooper Zeon LTZ off-road style tires, but when I mounted the 22 with that tire it rubed to bad in the frong that it would have ripped the bumper off. So I then mounted them with low profile tires and it looked funny on the Z71 so I ended up ordering 20's and sticking with the more agressive tire. I think you will be fine if you stick with the low profile tire but i like the more aggressive look. I use to have the rockstar's but my wife wanted something new.

I like the Boss 330's that John posted in 22 but have the black intereior powder coated to match the burb. I love the white on white look its super clean and pwder coating isn't very expensive. In fact I bet you'd be cheaper than if you went with those in all chrome.

Greg... nice call on the aggressive tires for the Z71. It's a nice match. I see too many Z71's on low profile 24's, and it just seems like a mismatch. In my case, I was thinking an all season in 305/40/22. That seems to be the size that most go with.
I entertained the Rock Stars for about 5 minutes last night... I just don't like black wheels, expecially not flat black. I realize that puts me in the minority, but to me they just look like dirty wheels (e.g. covered in brake dust) or steel wheels that are missing the hub caps. Can you get Rock Stars in chrome or polished?

U2-55's. The flattest, simplest 6 lug wheel on the market. AND it has a hellacious lip.
You can get them through www.westkycustoms.com

Twitch are you kidding me? Do you get out much? Because every truck posted on the net or around my small town has cockstars. They're sick, but in a puky way.
DBC, good call on not getting on the black wheel bandwagon. They remind me of the old Ford LTD's in a field missing the hubcaps. So sick of every car and truck having black wheels or everybody thinking something has to be "murdered out".

sorry for the hijack....Hate, I searched aroudn last year, by me, powder coating is relatively expensive ( 100-200/per wheel) most shop wouldnt' take the liability due to the "baking" process the rims go thru to haev them powdercoated. The extreme heat can cause issues with some rims. Msot people suggested paint. Paint is also eazier to repair when chipped.

I have to say that greg's white tahoe with the black rockstars was one of the best looking trucks in town. I know you don't want the black wheels, but you should have a tire shop try them on.... Either way chromed 22's or 24's would look good. Your stock wheels do look pretty darn good too... maybe keep your stocks and invest that money in wheels for that trailer... he he...

Pretty sure I know you from gmfs... I dont post over there much anymore but I'm "Ty" on that forum.
I came in here to say U255s as well. You cannot go wrong with them, and I agree 100%: stay away from rockstars. Played out awful bro wheels.
that white denali is sitting nice... def digging it.

I would go boss 313s over either the 330s or the rockstars. I see the rockstars and 330s every single day. I just put 24s on my truck (avalanche so same size as your suburban) and it still does decent towing 80 miles each way to the lake. MPG took a hit and were all the way down to 9.5mpg. I was hoping I would still get at least 10mpg when towing. I personally went with akuza brand rims and I love them.

The 313 is a nice clean wheel. I personally like the 330 better. Also stick with chrome.
I also like the KMC Slide:
Also check out the KMC "Brodie":
Here is one of my favorites, the Drop Star DS07. I've done a couple newer Tahoe's for a local dealership and these things are sick:

And I forgot one, the new Helo 866. Comes with both chrome and black inserts, or you can roll with out them. I just did a 2010 GMC 1500 with a 2-4 drop and these wheels and had the inserts painted White Diamond to match

My wifes rig has very similar wheels to jarrod's recommendation of the Drop Star's (in case you wanted to see what they looked like on a truck).
Sorry jonyb... she wanted something all black, so we had them powder coated. 24's looked pretty bad until we lowered it. Then we but air helper springs to tow with it. I personally like those u2-55s.

Ty, I saw your posts about the fountain your company built and a post in the music thread, so I kinda thought that was you..... Good to see you're still posting. You should start a "lets see your pool thread".

Ed, to each their own, and we've all got our own opinions. I just can't believe people think that black wheels look good. My CTS-V has black wheels once a week until I can't stand it, luckily all the brake dust cleans up. It's amazing to see the difference from black back to silver. It makes the car look SO much cleaner.
Hopefully this black wheel fad will be over soon.

The wheels you posted in the OP are NC forged. My buddy had then on his Navigator and they were badass. Very Very good quality wheel. I have a set of NC forged on my Range Rover with a 7inch lip in the back with the Land Rover Logo that floats when I drive. I recommend NC forged wheels due to the quality.

Also, the white and black look is awesome IMO. The only thing I don't like about BIG rims is it makes the brakes look SOOO tiny, so upgrade the brakes with the BIG wheels.

How about a pair of the wheels the put on the new escalade. They're 22's and they have a nice stock look. It shouldn't be too hard to find a set since so many people put after market wheels on escalades.

Seems like those are at least $2000 or more. Kinda pricey for used take-offs.
