Excuse the crude Microsoft image.

I was wondering if a combined beveled edge and a sharper edge would prove beneficial, especially for cable/park riders who might want a more aggressive full edge while having the benefits of a beveled edge (or so i imagine).

i'm not talking about a beveled edge in the middle blending to sharper ones (and sometimes cupped ones) toward the tip/tail, but a sharper rail that is raised just slightly above the beveled edge.

would this work?
has this been done before and i just don't realize it?

To me that looks like it would cup the water and maybe hold very well, but the negative, looks like it would roll over more?? AND..I did stay in a Holiday Inn last night so I am a engineer! I agree that the edge hold would be ideal. However, I think the reason that you do not see this design on commercial boards is that it considered unforgiving and catches easily leading to more eyelid peeling face plants. I believe that is why most boards have a more rolled edge that sharpens at the tips. But, I could be way off base.
