I'm thinking about buying the Fusion T-Series for my 2000 21i. They weigh 13 lbs each, and there will be 2 of them....so 26 lbs. total.

My question is about the tower supporting that much weight. I have the stock Metcraft tower. Does anyone have something comparable on their Metcraft tower? If so, how's the tower holding up? Does it sway excessively?

I'm in Austin, TX and usually ride on Lake Travis or Lake Austin. Both can be very busy, so the water can get fairly rough.

Any info about the Fusion T-Series speakers would be great too.

Thanks!

- Scott

26lbs should be no problem for any tower.

Well, you would think, but the Tige/Metcraft tower is connected by a few joints....add some boards and a few speakers and it'll sway...I'm just wondering how much.

Although I have no personal experience with that tower, I've got probably close to 90lbs of gear on mine (Speakers/Boards (6)) I get about 1-3 inches of sway when hitting big double ups. I'm alot more careful abotu large rollers other boat wakes, but have experienced no problems. I have a 96 MC with a custom tower (4 fixed points, no hemi joints). Have you tried calling the manufacturing asking what they reccommend? A good person to ask is Duane @ NVS he's probably got some speakers on one of those towers.
