I have been talking to Bill at Monster Tower about his new Bullet speakers coming out and was waiting on those but ran across this at Wakeside.com. Let me know what you think.

Great speakers, no question. I haven't really had much experience behind other speakers, but there is not one complaint with these. Sound quality is always great, never gets unclear at all, gets real loud, looks real cool, etc... We have a pair, but are thinking of adding another pair of single fusions--just for more volume. Like I said, great speakers. (Message edited by abundiga909 on February 08, 2005)

Can anyone comment on how they might sound vs the Evid 6.2's? They sure look a lot better.

The speakers are awesome! I have a pair on my tower and they are clean and non-distored. I tested a few other brands and the Fusion had the best overall sound when cranked up. The cans definetly look different, they dont have your traditional can shape to them. The just came out with some chrome ones and they are much easier to clean and maintain then the polished aluminum ones.

I recently purchased some off of Wakeside. I received 10% of the purchase price in bonus bucks for my next purchase, so I ended up buying the DVD "The Book". Great deal....buy the speakers and get $70.00 in bonus bucks....can't go wrong with that. BTW....for those that have the Fusion speakers, what amp are you running with them? I still need to purchase an amp to drive these puppies.

My tower is black and I think they look great. There's alot of other polished stuff on our boats anyway. I am using a Kicker KX450.2 to run my two Fusion T-Series at 2Ohms.

I just bought them. I paid 699.00. They ended the promo code deal, but I still think it is a pretty good deal.

By the way, the deal on the Fusion Combo is over Friday the 18th. About the same time we will start offering (and shipping) the 2005 chrome version. Fusion has added a second mount for 2005. The $699 price is a great bargain for level of speaker system, polished, including the Diamond M3 components. Later this year, we believe that Fusion may add a black powder coated version.

I own a pair of 04 T-series combos which I went through the trouble to have chrome plated. What will the 05 changes be? Will there be an additional mounting clamp added to stop them from bouncing around? If so, could my 04's be retrofitted?

Whats so good about the new clamp style, and can they be modified for a Nautique? I don't think of mine bouncing that much, except once the right pair almost fell b/c a part came loose--not the clamp part from the tower, but the speaker part from the clamp.

I would NOT recommend using a Kicker amp for powering something like the T-Series. Diamond Audio drivers are extremely high end, and deserve a full range amp that is capable of providing a clean, accurate signal. The result will not only be a dramatic increase in sound quality, but you'll also be much less likely to damage the speaker's voicecoil.

Rod how many total amps do you have in your boat now. The reason I ask is because I will be adding another amp for the Fusions but I'm worried about my alternator want beable to keep up.

Lance, what is the sum of the RMS power of all the amps that you will be running?

I was talking to the guy at hellroaring yesterday (the company that makes the isolator/combiners for auilary battery applications like mine) and he told me that at 650 to 700 watts RMS, you will be right about at the maximum capacity of a stock 60 or 70 AMP alternator. If you're running your system at about the top of the RMS range for long periods of time, then you will not be charging your battery very well. However, most people don't run their systems like that too much. Also if you run at near the top of the RMS range while idle, it will actually drain the aux battery because the alternator is not outputting the peak. I'm going with the stock alternator, a dual battery auxilary system using the hellroaring isolator / combiner with LED, a kicker 450.2 for my fusions, an MTX 251D thunder for my subwoofer, and another 500 watt 4 channel (65 w RMS per channel) for my interior speakers. I figure the top of the RMS output will be about 700w or so. But I'm no expert.

I already have an Orion 7005 (50w x 4, 300w to sub) and adding an Orion 4002 for Fusions (200w x 2) so about 900w total.

John, I have a set of 04 T-series combos that I'd like to refit with the addational clamps, where did you get the 05 clamps? Thanks.

K: I didn't get the 05 clamps. I have kind of a special installation situation with my tower, so I had to make a solid polished aluminum strap that I used instead that bolts to the smaller speaker, and to a bolt on my tower. You can see them in this picture. I have two of the smaller Fusion clamps (upto 2-1/4) brand new if anyone is interested them. However, you will find that the top of the smaller speaker is farther from your tower because of it's smaller diameter. You would have to shim it up somehow with a block of aluminum or something. Maybe the 05 clamps solve this issue.

Lance: I'm at 785 RMS total. That's probably a bit over the borderline for the alternator, but I doubt I'll be running it that hot long enough to cause an issue. If the LED on the hellroaring isolator is indicating I'm always low, then I'll upgrade the alternator or add a monster cap. I'm going to at least give it a try with what I've got.

Lance, I have three amps, kenwood 4 channel 75 x4 interior, kenwood kac7201 230 x 2 for the tower, mtx thunder801d 800 max 400 rms for the sub. Running stock alt. Have two Napa marina bats right now but think I should go with the blue tops. Have not had the boat out yet (snow on the ground still) but we'll see if bigger alt will be needed. Will post Pics when I can figure out how to down size my Pics. Any help on posting pic would be great. Not good with computers.

Thanks John and Rod. I feel better about my situation now. I do not want to get into upgrading my alternator. I spoke with Centurion about it and they said I should be ok but if not to give them a call and they will help me find an alternator. Whats the deal with the 04 clamps? Do the speakers start slipping and rotating in rough water?

I see now. If you mount on the small bars between the front and back they can fall down, but if you mount on the back or front bar they will be fine. Do the clamps rotate depending on how you mount them.

The clamps actually only fit on the speaker at a 90 degrees from the front of the speaker (as shown in the first picture on this thread). I customized the clamp for my installation because my tower is too fat on the normal bar for the clamp to fit. It seemed pretty solid, but I could see it rotating, so I created the aluminum strap to keep it solid.

You don't need a discount code or coupon for the 2004 Fusion T Series Combo. The polished version is on clearance until tomorrow at 2:00 PM. The price is $699 and you still earn reward points. After tomorrow, the price goes up to $899 until remaining stock is depleted. The chrome version should be available by Monday at $1199.

That's a good deal for those looking. When the discount code was used, you didn't get reward points, so it's about a push either way.

Anyone have experience with the infinity 6000M set? I have seen a couple post questions but no replies. I want to make sure that we can clearly hear them when we ride with good quality sound. If they are good, what's a recco for amp/sub set up to drive the system. Thanks.

The 600M's having two 6-1/2" midbass is a plus but only one tweeter makes me thing they may not delivery as good as highs to the rider as something like two pairs of coax or the Evid 6.2's. They came to market with a huge marketing blitz and it's weird there has yet to be a review?

OK, her is my install. Had to modify my tower a little. Wish I had more room for one more pair. They sound great at 75-watts per-channel. Next install will be my Kenwood KAC-7201 230 watts x 2-Channel amp at 2-ohms.
