I found it interesting that Bob Soven, riding pro, still got 4th place. not bad!

Phil and Bob were in every heat together from quarterfinals to finals with Phil coming in first and Bob second in quarters and semis. In the process they knocked out Andrew in the quarters and Rusty in the semis.
