I am trying to decide which board to go with...I have been riding a 138 Trip for the past few years. Me and my brother bought it together about 3 years ago. The thing is the bindings are too tight for me. I have been dealing with it and riding friends boards but its time for my own set up. I am not an advanced rider...i can consistanly do wake to wakes and i'm working on 180's.

I have ridden a friends 01 byerly and liked the looser feel and snappier pop than the trip.

I have gotten used to the quick edge hold of the trip. Is the byerly much slower on edge??

I've also thought about trying the absolute or subjket. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. I am looking for some good feedback b/c it is unlikely that I will be able to demo boards.

Thanks

Hey I'm partial to the trip myself but in reality you are looking at two very different boards. The byerly has a three stage rocker where as the trip is continuous. I haven't ridden the byerly yet but a buddy I ride with has and he felt it was quite a bit slower than my trip. Another thing to think about if you want a looser feeling board is taking the center fins out of the trip. Hope this helps.

Try the LF Team. It's a supercharged trip. Also, this year's LF bindings are super comfy.
