Hello fellow riders, I am a beginner (the best I can do is jump from wave to wave toe side), and I feel that now I can buy my own board...I have a 250 dollars budget. I know I'll need the binding as well I do know what I want though. Thanks a lot...
Go to your local shop and demo a bunch of boards. Don't pay attention to brand name. Whichever one you liked best, that's the one you should get. The money spent on demo "should" go towards the purchase of a board.
Boards and bindings are really expensive, I'd go for quality... It's good to look for deals, but sometimes you can get stuff that's really cheep and hard to board on.}
$250 will get you last years bindings. Get good bindings now and a try to find a decent used board. $250 just isn't enough to get great gear. You definately don't want to go cheap and then have to buy new stuff again when your skills demand the good stuff.
I can hook you up with several choices of combos shipped to your door under your budget. Contact me at rider@boarditup.com with your shoe size and weight, and I will e-mail you with your choices.
