rootc, The 206 incorprates many of the design elements of the TSC2 hull from the 195 (Ski Nautique). The result is a very good...5 years ago would've been called world class...wake for slalom and tricks. The problem is that it takes a lot of weight to get the TSC2 to lay down a good wakeboard wake. And the 206, even with the open bow and trunk locker, lacks a little with regard to room for weight. The Air 206 is a good start with hard side tanks in the trunk that you can throw a sack on top of. But the center locker is replaced by a maintenance locker and cooler, so any forward weight will consume floorspace. With a sack in the locker and one in the bow, you're probably back to a point similar to an older, unweighted Sport. The 216, my opinion, is a much better platform for a "crossover" boat. It also incorporates the TSC2 hull, but the added length and beam allow more room for additional weight. And you can still get back to a very good (though not as good as a 195 or 206) slalom wake. The trickers will probably never be happy behind the 216, but who ever met a happy tricker anyway.
