Hi everyone. I got some new sacks i'm going to plumb into my existing stock tanks in my VLX. I have all the info and parts to set it up and can't wait for it. Quick question though. Whats the best way to pull up the floor in those back lockers? Is it simple or a tricky task? My boat is out at my cabin, so i thought id see if anyone has any tips before i go out there and realize i can't do it. Any info helps, thanks.

you wont need to pull the floor.you can just tie in to the lines coming up from the tank.

Jeff,
If you follow the directions I sent you from Ben, you won't need to pull up the floor. Johnny is right. All you need to do is cut the vent hose and divert it into the fill/drain of your extra sack - then vent the extra sack out of the boat where the original vent was.
If you e-mail me, I can send you Ben's phone number. He could talk you through it.

If you add that much wieght to the rear your gonna need atleast an extra 400-500 up front. I put 750 pound sacks in the back of an 04 VLX and took out the hard tanks. We upgraded the prop, had to, to get out of the hole. But when we had the right mix of nose weight........ that baby got BIGGGG!!!!

I have basically the same boat as Steve L. and did the same. You will have to put nose weight to make it nice. If I fill the 750's, I put a 700 in the nose along with the mid tank. Makes an unreal wake. Didn't have to reprop it though. I only fill them like this if there is only 3 or 4 guys. Any more than that, and I cut back on the water.

One thing to watch is water getting forced out the empty line when filling up the sacs. I guess the pressure was too much and pushed water out the empty line slowing down my fill times. I just put a ball valve on that line now and close it while the sacs are filling. Now I just have to remember to open it to drain or bad things might happen!
