my sister is doing study abroad, and my family is going to go see her in a few months.

I'm going to Costa Rica for my honeymoon in a few months, and am trying to decide if I should take my board.

Jared, My wife and I were in the DOminican at a resort called secrets excellence in July. The island is beautiful but alot of poverty outside the resorts. If there is any wakeboarding we didn;t see it but ya never know. Good luck, do some surfing while you are there. The waves are awesome on the east side of the island.

Don't know about Wakeboarding, but the north shore is the Kiteboarding capital of the world.

by the way it s true cabarete is one of the best place in the world for kitesurfing !!

Is your sister's study abroad headquarters located up in the mountains at a place called Escuela Caribe?? Just east of Caberete on the north shore along the Yasica river is where they wakeboard. Check out www.hispanola.com.
