I replaced my stock clarion stereo in my 03 x2 with a clarion DXZ845MC. This is the deck with the music catcher feature. Does anyone know how to get the stock wired remotes to work with this deck? I think it will need special wiring since there is not plug for the stock marine remotes in the new deck. Please let me know what you guys have done about this. Thank you.

Yeah, well add to the fact that you have an older marine clarion unit with C-Bus connectors and you are in my own personal hell.

So if I want to change my head unit, I will also have to change out the older remote along with the 6 CD changer.

I would much rather use the automotive units like you did because the Clarion Marine units are not all that feature-rich but the wired remotes will not work unless you plan on hacking the deck somehow.

If you are intent on using that unit, you might want to look into making an Infared repeater and use the handheld remote that came with it.

I think if you search on this board you can find a few people that have done it.

Thank you Chaun. PAC makes a product that will enable the use of the stock clarion remotes that came with he boat. The part number is PAC SWI-X and it is 69.99. The unit alows you to wire your stock remotes to the PAC unit that comes with a infared repeater that you mount inside the glove box pointed at the deck. Thanks again your idea, it sent me in the right direction. This is good info for anyone who wants to replace the head unit in a Mastercraft.

oooh nice find, that thing looks like it might just do the trick. Maybe I do have an option. I think my changer will work with the new units with clarion's adapter cables.

Let me know how that thing works out for you. BTW, I found them on BUY.COM for $39.99 the link is
