I am going to look at a 1994 S10 Blazer this weekend and wanted to see if anybody had any experience with them or things to look for. This particular rig is a 2wd 4 door with the high output 4.3L. It has 200hp and 260lb/torque. It also has the 700r4 transmission which the guy said he put something in it from a vette 700r4 to make it shift between gears better. Does anybody have any experience with this motor and/or transmission?

I really like the S10's as I had 2 growing up. The specs on it also show it has a tow capacity of 5500#'s which makes it plenty capable of towing a smaller wakeboat although I kind of knew it would since my parents use to have a 2wd Astro with the 4.3L that we use to tow a 24 foot cabin cruiser around town.

By the way, does anybody have the ability to look up a carfax report for me?

He probably installed a 'vette servo, which makes the 1-2 and 3-4 shifts crisper. It's a good mod for towing, as is a Transgo shift kit with mild settings.

He did say it was a vette servo and explained it did exactly the way you are. Thanks.
