I have a 132 '06 Shane board and am looking for a new board. I have heard that the Slingshot Recoil rides just like the Shane, but more pop, i can't demo because of where I live, so I was wondering if I get the recoil should I get the 134 or 138. I have heard to go bigger than you would think, but I figured I would ask on here. I weight 150 and am 5'8". Also I have some '08 shanes that I got because Liquid Force warranteed my '06's. So I have heard that you can use any binding on the board, but it gives you less flex. Is this true. Let me now.

Thanks ahead of time.

138, 134 too small for you.

Using other bindings on the Slingshot boards won't mess with the flex that much.

They don't make a 138, it goes 132, 136, 140. For your size I would recommend the 136 but you could even go with the 140 to try to help out with pop, stability, and softer landings. I have always prefered a smaller board though, just not to small because it will kill your pop and make the landings very harsh.

dang, and i've been riding a 132. How much will the extra length help? How much pop are we talking about?

You will go 10 times as high. J/K. You will just feel a little more boot off the wake instead of crushing through it. It is kindda hard to explain the feeling. I am not sure if you will actually get much more height out of it but getting the same amount of height should feel more effortless than on a shorter board. I think the most difference that you would notice would be in the landings. especially if you are going into the flats. I would have to say demo the 136 and the 140 and see what you feel more comfortable on then go and ride your 132 and you should notice the difference instantly.
