airspace for my sub

I have a 12" kicker comp "anniversary edition" sub that someone gave me in box; its an older model. Well the box is to small (the sub bottoms out with alot of bass) so I want to build a new one, only thing is I'm not sure how much air space I need. Anyone help me out????

Go to "Products/Subs...", see if your sub is listed, click on it, then click 'manuals'. It should tell you the required volume.

You can also click "support/technical support/manuals/..." then select sub, sub box, etc...

go as big as you can the bigger the better

Kicker spec are from 1.25 to 3.5 Bigger is not always better.If you can get close to 1.5 that sub will sound good. Kicker also recommends you loosely fill your encloser with poly-fil
