The only thing i know is that there's something about them on detention i think, might wanna check into that. My friend told me how to do it once, but i really dont remember, sorry...

A Bel Air is a Tantrum without using the wake. They are done when you are out on you heelside edge (toes toward the wake). The main trick is to generate the pop by quickly changing edges, start cutting toward the wake, then quickly away from the wake, at the same time push off with your legs as you would a tantrum you are trying to take straight up. The cut back and forth is 90% of this trick, do the cut all in one continous motion, you can practice this without throwing the tantrum, to get the feel of the pop.

It uses the same principle as cable wakeboarding- getting air solely from rope tension....

don't even try it with poly E rope...
