Does anyone use some sort of "bumper" to protect the boat from being hit by boards when people are putting their boards on using the swim step. I hope this makes sense, best I can describe it.

I don't even worry about the platform edge, i just buff it out every once in awhile. There is such a thing as getting so anal about a boat that you can't even enjoy it because your worrying so much about every little scratch, just my opinion

I think what your looking for is a transom protector. Do a search, lots of stuff available.

I'm with Razzman, I just buff out scratches once a year.

If you look at my boat in my profile picture you can see what I use. It's gator grip and it has worked great. It comes in lots of different colors.

hydroturf sells a product by the sheet, 3m tape on the back comes in varies colors. i just did my boat this weekend cut to my specific size and shape looks pretty good, sticks on very well. (Hydroturf.com)
