Ok.. yesterdy afternoon... sliding around and doing surface 180s. Of course I finally caught the dreaded front-side edge and did a face plant quicker than I could blink... (obvious since my eyelids were turned inside out). I was suprised my nose wasn't bleeding. Any how, a little while later while in the boat I noticed that each time I turned my head, my neck would make popping noises... just like when you intentionally pop it. Didn't hurt, just popped. My wife said to stop.. said it sounded bad. I figured a nights rest would help. Wrong. Still the same today. Every time I turn my head... snap-crackle-pop. I can't feel it popping, but you sure hear it. My neck is sore but not really in pain. Nodding has no effect. Just when I turn side to side. ?? What gives? The guys at work said I need to get it checked out. Made them shiver when they listened to it. Anyone ever had anything similar happen?

yep. had it for at least 3 months, probably more. haven't died yet. i go to a chiropractor occasionally for different problems i'd like to think are attributed to wakeboarding, and usually have him work my neck a bit too. he can loosen up the stiffness, but it still pops just as loud. i've found what works the best is to not turn my head.

if you find out that this is a serious health problem, could you let me know? i'd prefer not to die.
