2011 Watson or Watson Hybrid...

just wanted to hear some input from you fellas out there that have hit sets on both boards last season. Im gonna get the Watson this year forsure but cant quite figure out if i want the regular pro model or the hybrid. i know both hit hard off the wake, which is what i want, and also know i really cant go wrong either way. Any and all input on the two is greatly appreciated.

I ride mostly behind the boat (which is why im thinking the pro model), but im sure im gonna regret not getting the hybrid on those days we pull out the grinch for a rail session.

Get the Hybrid if you're going to be hitting rails at all. You're going to want the Grind Base instead of tearing up the base on the regular Watson. The 2011 Watson Hybrid should actually be better behind the boat than the 2010 because they increased the rocker so that when it flexes it is actually closer to the rocker of the regular Watson. Plus, check out Watson and Chad Sharpe's blogs and you can see how often Watson rides the Hybrid behind the boat.

For a boat only board I would do the watson or watson classic. I found that the hybrid had rougher landings. But if your looking for the most durable board and plan on riding cable or hitting obstacles the hybrid is the way to go. Watson is a more aggressive board thats very fast, great for carrying speed and going into the flats. The watson classic is a bit slower with the spine but kicks hard off the wake and is very consistent. You really cant go wrong with either.
