I have one I need to get rid of, as I shoot stills. $40 shipped and somebody can have it. Clamps to the top of the tower and has the cable dampening system. I can get a picture if someone is serious about it.

Cliff, Lantana is in Argyle Zip code. It is off 407, about 7 miles west of 35 N. I am out just about every weekend on Lewisville. We have a couple of spots we ride at and normally can find some decent water. and share with the other wake boats.

I had forgotten that the one I have was originally set up for a pylon, but could easily be converted to use with a tower. I used it with my tower, by mounting it right under the rope mount.

Peter, How does it mount to the tower? Do you have any pics of it mounted on the tower?

I have one like in the pic with the big springs. I have been really happy with it. The only problem I've had is that I find that it works better with a camcorder that is the palm type rather than the kind that has the big display that fits perpendicular to your hand. I hope that makes sense. The one with the big display has less surface area to grip the mount, and it tends to move a little bit. It's a bit of a different view than what you're used to seeing, and IMO the jumps never look quite as high.

That picture is kind of side ways. If you look, there is two wing nuts on the back right side that clamp the u-bolt down onto a pylon like it was originally used for. I would think a person could get a new tower clamp & retrofit this to work on their tower.

It would mount below the rope on the upright part of the tower. Frank, I understand what you are talking about, but there is a simple solution. I used a thin piece of wood on my Sony camera to fill the gap and never had problems with wobble after that. What he is talking about, is on the bottom mount of the camera, it does not make contact all the way across, so the camera can move some. If you put something in to fill the gap, the issue is solved. Not all cameras are designed that way though.

Here is a better picture of how it mounts. I am headed out for the weekend, where there is no cell service and no internet...
