Liquid Force Watson handle?

I have a chance to purchase a Liquid force Watson handle slightly used for $40.00, is it worth it? Right now i'm using a SL Straight Line handle that has too big of a grip for my likings (a present from someone). Thanks in advance for the opinions. Also if anyone is interested in this handle please let me know.

hey I bought the Shane handle by LF at the end of this season and we had used it for 2 sets and it started to fall apart. the seem for the wrap is on the inside of the triangle so the foam started to roll up on us and pull away from the rigid understructure. then the connector line from one side of the handle pulled out of the handle. It was very comfortable though and im sure that we just got a lemon. 40 is cheap enough that i would buy it anyways and im sure the LF warranty or at least your board shop would help you out if something did go wrong.

I was actually just looking at picking up that handle, also interested in hearing people's opinion of the handle. When I checked out one in the store it looked like the seem was on the outside of the triagle so I'm wondering David it your perhaps might just have been the bad one in the bunch.

Alan if your not going to pick it up, do you have a pic of the handle?

I had one for a few weeks, it was comfortable, but the foam started twisting the first week. Then the foam tore a little the next week, and the next week it split in the middle completely. So, it sounds like two of us that have used the handle have had the same problem.

David and Stephen, did liquid force back their product up and fix the defected handle in a timely manner? Dan, I don't have any pictures but if I don't pick the handle up I'll refer you to person selling it. Does anyone out there have any positive comments or experiences with this handle? It feels really comfortable but it sounds like the foam on the handle is a product of poor manufacturing.

With my Shane i just put up with it until the end of my season which was only about a week and I just sent it back a few weeks ago to get replaced. It has not come back yet but they are not charging me anything.

hmmm sounding like a trend, not good. I might have to take another look at my second choice, the zero g carbon. I kinda did wonder about the grip when I was in the store. hmmm...

I did contact Liquid Force and they said they would back it up so I can't fault them for that. I have since moved and haven't had a chance to follow up on it. In my experiences, all of the companies that I have dealt with have been very good about warranty issues (except Krown). CWB and LF have stood behind their products.

Ide pass on the Zero G carbon. liquid force and accurate carbon handles break very easily. straightline is really the only company out there that has the carbon handles dialed. just to let you know im riding the accurate premier handle, so i didnt just say the SL is good because i dont own one but my friend has had one for 2 seasons, thats riding every other day for 8 months.

Thanks for the info Corey. I've only taken a quick look at the SL carbon handles. Shoot, maybe I'll just spend the money on a wakeskate and keep using my Accurate Byerly.

dont waste your time & money with the shane or the watson. i've had both & both broke. the watson lasted about 3 pulls & the shane hung in for about 8. just get a straightline.
