I have never surfed before because last year was the first year I've had an inboard. Looking to get a board that everyone in the boat will be able to have fun on for next season. I was looking into the Hyperlite Landlock, Ronix Stage, CWB Ride...if you guys could give me some feedback on your experiences or recommend some others, it would be greatly appreciated. I will be riding behind a Mastercraft Tristar 190...

Thanks in advance,
Nick

I've never been behind that boat but I would guess it's a somewhat smallish to medium wave so you're gonna want a larger board in terms of surface area. Of the three you've posted I would do the Ride the other two aren't great performers and are very sluggish and boring. However, most of us on here bought the obligatory first timer board such as the type you've posted and quickly upgraded so I'd check out www.wakeoutlaws.com and look at a few higher end boards.

The Tristar 190 will have a small wake and a very small sweet spot (spot where your board will sustain drive/push.) Depending on your height and weight you will probably need a surf style or hybrid type wakesurf board. If you are 175 lbs.+ a surf style board will be easier to go rope free.

I don't mean to hijack your thread, but I'm lookin for same. I have an 05 CWB Ride that a friend has let me borrow and he may sell to me. But will I get bored of this board pretty quick? should I just get something else and learn as I go, also want it to be good for first timers
