I just wanted to give people a place to show their progression in the early season this year. Also, has anyone else had major trouble on a trick and then it suddenly comes to you?
For me, HS BS 1.

I like your board Scooter I've almost got heel 3's and toe backrolls this season, I can't manage to grab my tantrum yet but I'm close and I want to learn toe 3's and crows

I've some simple grabs and HS FS 180. Next I need to get my toeside w2w and start taking my 180s w2w.

I'd like to get more consistent on toe 5s (on and off axis), HSBS 180, and TS Backroll. Also add grabs to all inverts.

As far as new stuff I need a heel 5, and reg roll to revert (can do them switch).

I need to stomp a toe 5 this year! Ive been close a few times but always lose the handle at the end. 360s off the double up, Tantrums, BS 360, Big lofty BS 180s out into the flats with tweaked grabs! SOOOO FUN!

Andy,

Does a toeside backroll feel way different than a heelside backroll? I would love to try one.

^ yes.
Its more of a tantrum motion

Anthony, Yeah I like to think that I am slipping more off the wake than slicing through it like on a heelside backroll.

Not getting hurt is my only goal, and getting past my injury mental block.

Toe side and switch comfort are high on my list.

313 is a pretty low goal! Haha JK Michael, ask Scott is you need any tips.

I had a pretty big and fun list planned for this year, but I guess it'll have to wait.

not to be picky, but your ts backroll edge should feel like a hs backroll. if your slipping up the wake into a tantrum like motion, then your hucking it.

its a load and release trick.

No worries. I am def not hucking them, I should have stated that more clearly. At the top of the wake when I grab indy or tail and take the ts roll to revert I kinda slip or slide the board off the top and into my hand this makes way easier to sink a solid grab. Much like the feel of a heelside Mute r2r if you do the 180 right away when you leave the wake (ala Ruck, Lyman). Same feeling. Sorry for not stating that more clearly.

I huck the of them.... No way am I diggin my toe edge on in the landing.... least not again.
Old     (dizzyj)      Join Date: Jul 2003       05-15-2009, 12:31 PM Reply
Im sure you dont huck em Andy! I've just seen a lot of people start these in the trough, square up and huck em. Most of the poeple that I've seen land these do it this way, but it kinda messes them up for the ts r2r.

TS BR sucks for me. I cannot seem to get over the mental not hucking them in trough. Even when it seems to late I am going to early.
Old     (lyle)      Join Date: May 2004       05-18-2009, 9:59 AM Reply
go for the TS R2r!! Just picked it up. So much easier than the regulare tsbr. I always huck my tsbr. I think holding on with two hands to the rope through the trick really helps not to huck the trick. Not hard to land it with two hands either. Landed the 4th or 5th one I tried... Just hit a few ts 180s then go for it..

TS Roll-2-Revert are like 1000 times easier than straight toe back

a ts r2r might be the easiest trick in wakeboaring.

^ easiest trick with the potential for the worst fall.

I remember once I came up short, it was a TS almost roll to 100* rotation.... FACE, it was awful.
