So need to buy a beginner board so lookin at the faze or the sol? ANy thoughts on the boards? The graphics are ugly but can't find another board..need one thats at least 141cm and around 300 bucks..any thoughts other than those boards or any reviews of these boards?

if you are willing to drop 300 hundred, just suck it up and pay the extra 50-100 bucks (depending on the shop) for the Pure w/ Torqs. The board is so much better and you won't outgrow it after you learn how to jump the wake. Or look into buying an intermediate level board like the Pure or Flame from 06, most shops still have those hangin around and they should be pretty cheap, they will probably have torqs on them too.

I'd second nick's advice. Find a Flame or Pure, the old Absolute shape. It rides great and the graphics aren't ugly

If your looking at CWB's, take a real good look at the Faction. It is a great board for a beginner, and when your skills increase, you can continue to kill and not have to get another board. It's the best board that I have ridden in quite some time. Check it out, I think you'll like it.

I agree with the above. You don't need a beginner board to get started. I would not buy a faze or sol. If money is an issue, buy an 06 closeout. I just started last summer and I've been very happy with the flame.

I love the Faction board, the edge holds really well, it's somewhat fast, good pop, and rides a little loose when not on edge

If I had to do it all over again, I'd choose the Faction as well. Very consistant and controlable pop.
