Looking for some ballast tips on making a good wake with a 1997 Ski Nautique. Currently using a 725# Launch Pad in the rear. Have about 80 lbs. added to the front in the form of stereo and battery.

Brad, you have a top of the line, first class waterskiing boat. TSC hull will never make much of a boarding wake. Good luck.

That is not a TSC hull. At least the Sports were not?? I thought they changed the hull in '98?

It can produce a very nice wake, but takes a ton of weight. Fat Seat or equivalent with a sac on top should take care of the rear. Now you need another true 350 #'s in the bow. Lead is probably going to be your best bet. Just make sure to move it back before trying to drive the boat with the rear ballast empty. You are also going to need a good driver. There is a reason they come with two 1100 Rule bilge pumps.

Well, it is a TSC hull. I guess i'll just load it to the max and see what I can get out of it.

Thanks to all who responded.

...i got a 1994 sncb and heres they best way....put a fat sac 750# in the back.....i have that and two side sacs, and its the exact same wake with either all three or just the rear sac(750 lbs)...it gives a great wake imo for a true ski boat..if you are any decent rider you can get 6-8 feet of air....
