Does anyone have experience with erosion to lake shoreline caused by the larger wakes produced by loaded wakeboard boats? Especially on man made lakes. What have people done to avoid/prevent this from happening?
Thank you.

There are all kinds of solutions. The least expensive is crushed concrete - 3-6" spread in a 1' thick layer to a depth of about 4' below water line to about 2' above the water line. It is a pain to walk on, so every 50' interval or so, throw in a stretch of 1-2" river stone for a walk out.

There are several synthetic options from your local geotechnical supply house. It ranges from concrete grids, plastic grids, and roll out matting.

One key is to have a 10:1 slope on the 4' below water line to 4' above water line. This will eliminate reflected rollers and dramatically minimize the speed of the erosion. If you are not sloped, then a rocky seawall is you best answer.
