The bigger you go, the slower you rotate. So, think about popping first, then throwing it. But, when you initiate the roll, dont bring your knees in at all. Keep you body long and rotating slow. Once you spot the water, size up the situation and if you need more rotation, bring your knees in slightly, and if you are still rotating too fast, let the handle out some and straighten your legs more. Also, learn to do regular backrolls. Learning to go bigger while doing a mexican will be tough because spotting the landing is much harder. I have a big roll pic in my profile.
