I just got a Hifonics ZX6000 amp and want to mount it to an amp board but it doesn't look like it has holes for mounting screws. My last Sony amp had 4 "feet" that came out of the corners that you could put screws through to mount it. How do you mount an amp that doesn't have those "feet"?

Also, to wire my tower speakers on my 03 Nautique FCT tower, can I drill a hole through the underside of the metal backing plate on one of the front tower mounts to run the speaker wire through? I'd rather not drill another hole through my hull if I can avoid it, plus this would hide more of the wire. Any problem with doing this on an FCT?

Use velco...my brother uses it in his truck for his PS2. it holds very good, but is removeable. Call the manufacturer and ask them how they mount it.

I wouldn't drill a hole in a backing plate (won't it lose some structural integrity) Drilling thru the hull is not htat bad and you can make it look very clean.

I have an '01 SAN and did just like you said...drilled about a 1/2" hole thru the center of the backing plate. It's very clean and no problems at all. Good Luck.

Interesting my hifonics stuff always came with mounts/feet. You sure they didn't just get overlooked?

I looked at that amp last week and it had some little stamped sheet metal mounting feet. Look in the box or in the bag of connectors, etc.

Woohoo. I knew there was a reason I read this forum.

Muji and Psyclone are right. In the amp box was the amp, manual, cable for bass remote, and a small box with the bass remote in it. I had even taken the remote out to look at it, but I never thought to look at the rest of the little box, which has 4 little stamped feet in it with screws. Thanks!

Thanks for the velcro suggestion Adam. And thanks Mike for the experience with the FCT tower.
