what's like the premier but with more pop

Hey guys here's my question: I currently have an 07 premier and I used to ride an 02 DNA premier. I like the way it tracks and the way it rides but I'm looking for something that weighs less than the 07 (it's a brink) and has more pop. I'm thinking about the Ronix One since it's Harfs model, so it must be somewhat similer but I've read on here that it takes alot of getting used to. I was also thinking about the ibex? Any thoughts? Like I said I want something that tracks and rides similar to the premier but more pop. Oh and I ride the premier with out the center fin. thanks

Byerly Monarch is like the premier 2.0. a little faster and looser, a little harder pop but very similar. it has a similar profile and much much lighter. the 08/09 was made with a pvc core and weighed 6.5 lbs, but was kinda expensive. the '10 uses a polyurethane (foam) core so it is a little heavier than pvc core (~8 lbs, still WAY lighter than premier) and costs under $400. check it out, you won't be disappointed. its seriously like the premier reborn. i also hear good things from the '10 HL B-side, been told its sorta like the hyperlite version of the monarch.

Demo the One if you can but danny did change up a lot from his premier. Its a much more carvy surfy feel.
Try out the 08/09 Mana, many premier riders really liked it. From what you say you want it sounds like it would be the ticket.

I rode a 136 lyman a couple weeks ago and that is the board i'm getting for next year. that board has more pop than anything i have ever ridden. Like said ab the one though it takes some getting used to.

can someone explain to me what they mean by the Ronix one takes some getting used to and why some many people say they couldn't get the hang of it? What is it, the timing of the pop or is it how it rides in the water or what please explain.

I had a ONE just did not like it but I suck. A couple friends have them and LOVE them. Ended up getting an IBEX 138 which I liked a lot then a friend got me on a SS Recoil and bam LOVE this board. Its a 142 and super light weight but real loose better know how to ride your edges. The ibex was loose too. Still have the Ibex if you might be interested in that. Good luck.

I rode the Premier for a long time and just switched to the Liquid Force Witness this year. The Witness has more pop, but is still a smooth popping board and lands really soft, also faster than the Premier, haven't been on a board I like better than the Witness....

I think the premier takes getting used to. It pops best with a real knees bent approach from what I have found. Same with the SS Recoil. But even those to boards ride a lot different. I jump back on my premier from my recoil every once in a while. The premier is definately faster than the recoil, i missed 4 double ups yesterday because I was early on the second roller, with my recoil if I miss it Im late. The premier rides totally different the more weight you put over the rear corner, which for me is annoying because I like a really centered (evenly weighted) approach

Jason, the 08 and 09 Premier is significantly lighter than the 07. I was shocked when I rode the 08 after I needed to replace the 07.

The obrien decade rides very similar with more pop and softer landings. If you are lucky enough to have a dealer in the area check one out for sure!

Correct me if I am wrong but wasn't the GB Ricky G based off the premier?
