Canon HG-10 has served me well. Made the VT Wake DVD Gauntlet with it. So anyone who's seen that video can attest to it's quality.

Everyone says the canon hv30 is dope too. Like $650 give or take $100

That's about what the HG10 was when I got it a year ago. Only complaint is the lack of a manual focus.

hv30 is what i shoot with. 599 manual focus and alot of great settings

Another vote for the HG 10 the camera rocks and goin for $450 at B and H photo
