I am going to be installing a music KEG in my boat> for those that have no clue what it is> its a hard drive (like your computer) but will work in your boat like a CD changer. It will hold something like 7000 songs and works faster than a CD changer> and will not skip (supposedly.)
I am trying to get some ideas as to where I can mount the controller?
I would like to have it watertight> but do have to be able to see it> to tell what song its playing and all the info. on the LCD screen.
Thanks for any help!

I run an Apple ipod through my deck. It is a 10gb HD and holds 3200+ songs. I mounted it by velcro to the dash and it acts as a controller as well. I can also take it to the Gym with me and use with headphones! The software is easy to use and download songs, You can sort and play by genre, artist, album, and playlist. I looked at the keg and went with the ipod because of the price, ease of hookup and versitility..
And it doesnt skip! I dont even take CDs out in the boat anymore... I just download them to mp3 formatt.

Sweet! I was looking into that as well> I am not sure which one to go with> although many of my friends have the Kenwood KEG setup on their computer> so> I can easily get some songs from them.
Thanks very much for the reply!

I considered that option when looking for a solution to skipping CD's in my boat. I didn't choose it for fear of the disk skipping or becoming damaged inside. I'd be very curious to see how it performs in the boat. I chose SIRIUS satellite radio and am very happy. Let us know how it goes if you get it.
