You might want to check out the ACME 3-blades instead. I went from an OJ 4-blade to the ACME 3-blade on my 02 Tige 20v and I'm really happy with it. For my boat I went from a 13x13 to a 11.5x13 for better holeshot when weighted.

I run the same prop as Bill on my Sanger V210 (350 mag v-drive, same engine package I think) Acme 3 blade 525 11.5-13 .8 cup, I think is the model number. It is the bomb, cheapest engine upgrade known to man.

I went with an ACME 11.5X13 on my 22I for the same reasons as bill. Love it!

Call Acme and ask them. They'll give you good advice. Then buy from propellersonline. They'll give you a great price.

Acme recommends a 4 blade for the 21V. Go to their site for their applications page. You can call them or go to this link. -

My new 22V has this prop, and it is great!

Good move. I'm sorry not to be able to give specifics, but I had a 4 blade SS prop and switched to an ACME 4 blade with a different pitch and noticed a huge increase in my hole shot. The top end speed decreased 2-3 mph, but I never run at that speed for more than a few seconds anyway. I have the identical boat as your buddy, I just can't climb under it right now (wedged in the garage) to tell you the exact prop I've got. I'll have her out tomorrow, I'll try to check exactly what I've got for you then.

Email Jim Bogden, he posts here frequently and I ride his 21V almost more than mine. jimbogden@earthlink.net . He's had four different props on it in two years. He's currently running an Acme 3 blade stainless and loves it. I can't remember the pitch. He'll be able to tell you what works best.

If you are putting alot of weight in the boat use the Acme 537.

I agree with Lee. We put the 13.5x16 four blade (#537) on our boat and it made a huge difference out of the hole. Lost a couple of mph's on the top end, but I could care less about that...

Right on - thanks for all the responses. I didn't think I'd hear "3 blade".

He doesn't run a lot of weight and I think it's a 2000 or 2001 21V Riders Edition and not a 2002 if that matters. Mostly he just wake skates.
It's when the boat is loaded with people and gear that it gets a little sluggish out of the hole. He bought it used and the boat had an old 3 blade on it (although, I haven't inspected it too closely, so I'm not sure what size etc.). His girl wants to pick one up for his birthday on June 18th and I'm trying to help her out.

I'll call Acme and e-mail Jim. Didn't Jim just get back from Iraq? Bill J and Darren, I know you guys weight your boats down, but the 3 blade just sounds counter-intuitive.

Does changing props effect Gas Consumtion?

I carry 2000 pounds + peeps. A three blade has more surface area than a 4 therefore more thrust, the problem with them was that you couldn't get a perfect balance with 3 blades, the CNC process has eliminated that problem.
I spoke to acme and they recommend the 3 over the 4 for my setup.
