Considering this boat along with an Enzo 230, Tige 22ve, and maybe a used X-30. What are your thoughts? Family boat for 5, dog, plus friends. Wakesurfing, wakeboarding, tubing...

Thanks

The Enzo, Tige and Supreme will have great waves. The supreme v226 and the enzo-avalanche share a similar hull design. The same guy designed both. The supreme is just deeper(deepest in the industry) and has a larger top cap. This means bigger custom sacs and a nice big waves. Same basicallly goes for the enzo (which is an amazing surf boat). The mastercraft is an amazing wakeboard boat and an ok surf boat.

Which is the most important feature for you? If it's wakeboarding then go with the mastercraft. If it's surfing again the Enzo, Tige and supreme will be great.

Thanks for the input. Surfing is probably #1, along with the kids learning to wakeboard, surf and tubing. I hope to get some demo rides in the next couple weeks if the weather cooperates.

I really dig the new V226. It has an incredible surf wake and the wakeboard wake is pretty good too. I would describe it as a steeper version of the xstar. Very meaty with a little bit of a lip to it. Very fun

V226 could be the greatist wakesurf boat out. With custom enzo sacs and some time dialing in the wave. But to my knowledge no one has done this yet. The enzo and the Tige have been proven to have great waves. If you surf both sides I would go with the Tige or the V226. If you just surf the port or regular side I would go with the enzo. All these boats are amazing good luck!

We have had the surf wake more than dialed behind the 226 every time I have been out in it. I actually found it very easy to dial it in. The first time out a year ago we were surfing at 17 mph and way back on the wave.

If they could change the graphics on the boat, and the interior and dash then i might look at it. They are trying to just to WAYYYYY too much with the graphics and it just makes you dizzy!

I agree with you that thats not my first choice either. But they do offer quite a few other options when it comes to graphics

Oh yeah one other general comment. I have a Centurion Enzo and it only has like 40-45 gallons of fuel. My buddy's X30 has 80 or ninety. When we go to Lake Powell we sometimes drive and hour or 2 just to find the glass. Just the round trip uses up half my fuel. Seems to make sense to me that you would put larger tanks in these boats not only for range, and need to refuel on a long day, but for weight as well!!!

Anyone with me on this?

Keep the wave pictures coming! I want to see what this boat can do.

In about a month I should have some new pics ready to post, NEW DASH included. The next time we get one out were going to re-prop is and really see what this beast can do.

Here's some. I've been told the dash has been revised a couple more times, so this is not going to be the exact dash. I hope to see the final design soon. I wonder what the swim step will look like? Should be another week or two till I get to see the first delivery.

That is one crazy deep boat! Can't wait to see it with custom enzo type surf sacs. I think it's gonna make everything else lame!

I agree with the potential for this boat. Especially with that one pic above.

^^^^^ - Agreed Duffy - I had a demo V226 last year and ran it against an Enzo with the same weight and it does make everything else look lame. Our next one is being built as we speak - can't wait for its arrival!

I heard a rumor that there will be a V226 at the Wake9 wakesurf festival in May.

That would be sweet! Someone really needs to spend some time dialing it in take some notes on weight, location etc....

I think that is the plan before the event. I will be dialing it in hopefully prior to the event.

Sacs or lead? Do you access to an enzo sac? The lockers are much bigger then an enzo but the sac would be a great start.

Love the dash render. If they can make it look like that in reality then they have a winner IMO

Holy **** that wake is huge!!! I have to agree with duffy in that that just might be the largest wake out there for now.

I won't buy into it until it pulls a competition or two and see what the pros think about it.

Yeah for sure. Dennis said on this thread that wake9 might get to test one. I talked to one of the designers and it's deeper then an enzo and the deep part of the hull starts sooner on the boat thus displacing more water. The angles are a mix between an enzo and an avalanche. The designer was also the enzo designer, which is a huge plus in my book. Lockers will hold a 1800 pound enzo type fat sac. At least that's from my measurements. I can't wait to see what this boat can do.

Duffy, Do you have the measurements for the lockers on this boat? I bought one in April and surfed all of june on it with just stock ballast and people and it was great we had a tonne of fun!! Now Im back at work in the middle east and due home in early august, so Im trying to get the locker spec's so I can order a few sac's.... any sugestions??

Actually the testing will be done for California Marine Sports in Suisun. They will be using the Supreme to pull their board demos at the Festival.

Yes I will be the one weighting it. and getting it dialed in. The festival will be pulled by Tige 2010 RZ2. We have two identical boats coming from the factory one for each side.

So, what is the deal with this boat. I have seen a couple pictures, it is on their web site, but does not seem like it is readily available? Has anyone actually surfed behind this boat, or seen anything but promotional info? I would like to see a few NON FACTORY people just go out for a day and try it out.

David, I think Dennis is one of the best people out to test this boat. Take lots of pictures and notes. It might be weight sensitive like the Avy?

Just weird to me that they "launched" the boat in November of 2008 (18 months ago) and we don't really have any good feedback from owners. Did they launch the boat, and then not make any?

From the Supreme website:

11/18/08

THE BOAT OF THE YEAR IS FINALLY HERE!

2009 will be the most exciting year Supreme Boats has ever embarked on.

The New highly anticipated V226 is completed! The design team developed the V226 from a clean sheet of paper. We now have snap out carpet / swivel drivers seat and a ride that is second to none. The 226 has the deepest V on the market today! Also the V226 has been engineered to have the most stable wake platform ever created with the most advanced styling in the industry. The team of engineers has developed what other companies could not, a 22 ft boat that has more interior room than a 24. We are very proud of our R&D departments' effort in making sure everything is exactly how we wanted it. Schedule your test drive today.

I have talked to a few. Also a wakeboard-surf school in europe has one. Supreme isn't a huge company. I think it will take time, and remember that the last couple of years have been very very tough on the boat manu's. A dealer in Lynnwood WA is getting one. My local dealer also might get one.
Old     (desotodave)      Join Date: Mar 2009       04-29-2010, 11:40 AM Reply
I have also heard rumors about a local dealer getting them, but it all seems so quite. If you have a boat that is the "Boat of the Year" it should be out there and getting more pub. You thinking of getting one?
Old     (duffymahoney)      Join Date: Sep 2008       04-29-2010, 12:08 PM Reply
Well only if I could get enough out of my Avalanche. Maybe next year. I think this design with it's depth will be the new standard. Safer boats for as much weight as we run.

LMAO! Thanx Duffy I know that much. I was wondering if any one had a personal relationship with one of the people working there. When I did the reviews for Malibu it was spured by a sales man and had to be blessed by the owner. Then when Malibu found out about it we were doing the 23lsv a month later. I will give them a call and see what they have to say.

Ok Lynwood moto plex has Email. lets see if they will let us review it!

Ragboy if you do a search you will find that it looks like only 4 have been built or at least I cant find anymore then 4 different gel styles.

That kind of makes sense that only a few boats have been built. I have looked for one for sale, tried to find pictures etc. but it seems like they don't really exist. I think that is so strange where 18 months ago they were supposedly voted BOAT OF THE YEAR. You would think they would capitalize on that press. I understand the market has tanked, and don't blame them if they put off true production of the boat, just curious about the boat.

Seems like there are a group of people on here who are interested as well, if someone works for Supreme fee free to jump in here and let us all know the scoop!!!

I spoke with Vicky for quite a while, then had e-mail response. Said they are behind in building boats as they were scaled way back. Apparently they have been making some additional changes to the boat, interior, dash, graphics, and working on a new tower. Sounds like production should be online and cooking soon. Looks like we might also get a nice independent review as well.

They said they will have some out in my area in 3 weeks, I will check it out then.

He also sent me these pics.

I do not like the graphics on the surfing picture, but the red one I do like.

I told him I would gladly wait till they are done to do the review so look forward to alot of pictures and coments. If there is any point of interest that needs close up pics speak your peace now..lol

P.S. please keep your fingers crossed that we have good weather soon to get this done asap. This is Seattle after all.

I would also like to see what the wave looks like "safely" loaded. What I mean by this, is that I would like to see what the wave looks like running a few inches below the rub rail. I think this is important because I see all of these nice waves, but a lot of them are produced by nearly sinking the boat. My guess is that the wave still should be great because the Enzo has a very solid wave with just the Enzo sac and a few people.

Thanks.

I like how they sent out a picture of the shortest, stubbiest wave so they can show how "big" it can get. I want to see how far back you can ride that thing. Height without length is nothing, just like length without height is nothing.
Old     (desotodave)      Join Date: Mar 2009       05-01-2010, 1:38 PM Reply
I agree with you. Looks like this boat needs about 500 lbs in the bow. that would bring the nose down and lengthen that baby out. The wave picture is earlier in the post, and that is one of the reasons that I wanted to see what a REAL surfer would feel about the boat if they spent some time riding behind it. I feel it will be good, but I am not sure.

To digress I went out with a buddy who bought a new x45 and was telling me how great the wake was. Well it turns out they were only going about 10 MPH and making a hard left turn to get their HUGE wake. The only problem was you had to have the nose of your board on the swim platform to be in the pocket. I have found that TALL does not mean good. You need length, shape and power from the wave. The boat you are in makes a HUGE difference, as does speed, weight, and how the weight is distributed. I am sure that someone in the know will figure this boat out soon. Looking forward to some REAL grass roots photos!!

Can't wait here what yall all think of this boat after getting to really surf one.

Maybe its just me, but the more and more that I look at that pic with the mackin wave, it looks to me that the boat is slowing down, but I could be off on that one (and hope I am, but that wave is just crazy)

I'm guessing the dealer in Texas I found online folded. Website is down and phone number is bad. Still waiting for Supreme to get back to me.

So I spoke to Andrew from KalKustoms today, he confirmed there will be one v226 to pull demos all weekend. It is not the 8.1 with the switchblade, but should be an example of a boat that should retail for $50-55k range. It will be very interesting to see.
