It has cost me at least 15-20 to ship every board I have shipped. That is re-using boxes from other boards I have bought and I didn't have to pay an employee to pack it up. I think BBB provides great deals and they probably make very little if anything off of that shipping fee. If it wasn't for the Deal-a-Day sites, I wouldn't have been able to get a nice setup on the cheap.

I was pissed when I ordered from them last year. Charged me crazy shipping and when I got it I realized it was shipped from only 20 miles away. Screw that.......I was pissed oh I also had to pay tax on top of it........oh and my binding were drop shipped from somewhere else.....got the board in a day and the bindings 4 weeks later

Jay, it says right when you buy it what this shipping is. The fact is they probably hardly make enough money on the sale of the board to make it worth while. They may make a few bucks on the shipping. I also have a hard time believing that UPS refunds any damaged wakeboards as they have crazy strict rules on packaging. As far as the drop shipping goes that happens in business all the time. BBB probably makes a deal with the vendor to buy a whole "lot" of their older product and instead of shipping to BBB and then reshipping they have it sent UPS straight from the vendor. I would guess that the vendor charges a company like BBB the shipping charges for every piece they send out.

I guess the point of this is don't get so hung up on the little bit of markup on the freight because overall you are getting a great price. $125 for a brand new board that was a pro model a year or 2 ago is a great deal.

Jay, I would guess they have a simple shipping operation and rather than trying to manage different rates for each zone, they pick the furthest zone they will ship to and charge that flat rate. Like Brett says though, price with shipping included is usually a great deal. It says what the shipping is right in the ad, there are no surprises.
