Im considering buying a new tower for my I/O boat. My question is how much of a difference will a tower make for wakeboarding. And in what ways does it make a difference? Thanks

A good deal of the physics that make wakeboarding possible deals with the rope-tension,angle,loading etc. with that said-It makes a big difference.

When we first a tower on my buddies boat I couldn't tell a difference at first, because I wasn't used to loading the line the right way. But now it makes all the difference. So IMO it well help.

Another benefit of towers is that you can get racks to get your boards out of the boat. A great space saver. Now that you can get towers for <$1000 - totally worth the money.

What size boat do you have?

I have a tower in my garage. I would be willing to make a deal on it.

Vinny, I've been considering a tower as well, and I've narrowed it down to a few.

I like this guy's pro-style tower. The most inexpensive I've found, and several folks on this board have good things to say about them.

Everyone also highly recommends the Moster Towers. I think they are about $1200? Not sure, but I think this is the site.

Also, heard good stuff about this tower, it seems highly recommended for $895.

Let me know what you decide!
