Hey guys,

Does anyone have the link to the Sean O'Brien vid where he rides over "Spaghetti Junction" by Outkast? It is a killer vid and I wanna use it in a presentation...

Cheers,
Dustin

Good luck with the presentation.

Why would you want to use that video? It's not like back to back 9's is hard or anything...

Yeah. Those 9s are looking too easy for him.

Have you tried any 10s, Sean? Getting close?

He probably landed one and won't tell us because he wants to wait till he gets a video section.

Man, his riding blows me away. He makes me think I should get a new hobby. Scary thing is...there are probably some pro's saying the same thing. The back to back 9's are stupid. Daa-m.

So, I've always been facinated by Sean's TS edging. Sean do explain please! It's like he majorly turns the board (nose) towards the wake on his TS cuts. I would think it wouldn't create as much line tension or you would slip out but it obviously works wonders for him.

Have you guys noticed this? It is hard to explain but a very distinct style of edging.

Hey eubanks01 - I noticed the edging thing. On his heelside and toeside edge its like he makes a really sharp, quick turn and then accellerates like crazy and explodes off the wake. His riding is sick.

thane - that makes it even hotter then

matt - i believe that was an attempt at a big wurm 7. a big wurm is *only* an overhead ts 5.

the move is called a big johnson (big worm 7).

i think brannan johnson was the first to do it so he named it.

Sean was nice enough to give me a set out at his camp this past week and his first trick out of the boat was one of the biggest grabbed(don't remember where) front rolls. He reached max height somewhere past the second wake! I was at the double up contest UF through in Gainsville this weekend and Sean's front roll off the wake was by far bigger then anything thrown at that contest.
P.S., Props to Scott Hopkins for sealing the deal on that contest, even if it was with the two tricks you were told not to do(at least you apologized).. Haaaha! Point 3 next time!

What trick is he doing in his profile picture over that hottie. He makes it look so effortless in the video. Just sick.

So what is the difference between that and a backroll. Still new to the sport and not even close to trying either. Does he compete on the tour or just an instructor cause those vids are just nuts.
Old     (wakeriderixi)      Join Date: Jan 2004       10-04-2005, 2:31 PM Reply
Tantrum is heelside backflip, backroll is toeside cartwheel.

Thanks Paul for the info. So in this thread can you anwser another, what do you guys mean doing it osmosis?
Old     (wakeriderixi)      Join Date: Jan 2004       10-04-2005, 3:46 PM Reply
instead of passing the handle from one hand to the other on a spin you mearly let go, spin around, and catch the handle back with the hand you let go with.

Ole means you do a handle pass over your head.... as in you never let go (kinda like a whirlybird).
