Took the plunge a few weeks ago and finally got a decent video camera. I'm new to filming and editing but thought I would post some footy we got a few days ago..

nothing real special about the riding but we always have a good time..

enjoy!

Thats actually really cool. Hopefully one day I can ride like that! Not many lakes around here that calm and empty.
Love the boat too!!

I would guess b/c he has a dog in a $70,000 boat. BTW how do you get your girl to tow you? I need some pointers on that!!

good video, great riding, but it might have been a little too much with the editing.
i'd tone it back a little bit and have a little more flow to the video but that might just be me.

i put those boots on her front paws so she doesn't scratch up the gel coat/interior.. seems to work pretty well.

I do agree there is too much editing but I think it was because the limited amount of footage to begin with... only about 30 minutes of actual video.

as far as my girlfriend driving.. she grew up on the lake so its no big deal for her. she can fly a 50 million dollar jet (we are all airline pilots) so I can only hope she can drive a boat haha..

griff...

I wanna know 2 things...

what are you using for a camera...

and what are you using on your dogs feet to keep from damaging the vinyl?

zappa- canon hv30 bare bones. no special lens, filter, etc . I was using the "vivid" setting, and 60i framerate. firewire to imovie then edit with no special effects.

usually the 400 models are refirbs or something a little shady..maybe an overseas version (PAL instead of NTSC).

H20-

Canon HV30

roxy's shoes are made by a company called NeoPaws. They have a rubber sole that doesn't mark. I'm not real impressed with them for the price.. I could never get the rear ones to stay on her and one of the front ones is ripping.

she can still swim like a champ with them on also..

I would say that was good for your first time but I think that was good even if it was your tenth time, it was a little too jumpy in my taste but I don't think you we're trying specifically to showcase your riding so it did quite well as a flashy video. good stuff
