Can I get some input on the SV211 wake characteristics? Also, as a V-drive, how does it handle compared to a traditional center engine inboard?

I rode one this summer for the first time. I was not impressed at all. I was expecting the 210 wake and it even had some decent weight in it. Horrible.... Not worth the money IMO. The wake was clean but very small and not steep like the typical Nauti wake.

If you do a search in the Baot Section, there is info regarding the wake on this boat. I almost bought one, but instead bought my X-2. IMO, this is a great crossover boat, but if you ride mostly for wakeboarding, you will outgrow the wake.

Like Gene said, not as steep as the 210 wake but similair IMO....not as much ramp as some other brands, but it can be adjusted some with front vs back weighting. Regardless, you have to add a lot of weight to get near a pro level wake.

V-drives in general don't handle as well as direct drives and the SV-211 is no exception. I thought it handled decent for a v-drive.

I've ridden behind a properly weighted 211, and in my opinion the wake is very similar to the 05 and newer VLX. The shape is a less vert than a 210 but it's every bit as hard when you hit it.

Check this vid for an example.

The boat had stock ballast, an extra 500lbs in the rear, and five people in it.

If there had been a decent used market on these when I bought my 210 I would have chosen the 211.

5 adults, 250 over stock in each corner, 150 in nose. David D and Cliff have it right. Best description is a wake somewhere in between the VLX and a 210. More weight in the back will produce a wake closer to a 210 (not the same, just closer to it), gate in Slalom and more weight to the front produces a wake closer to a VLX.

Boat handles great when weighted. No problem with chine lock. Unweighted it handles alot like my old Sport/216 DD.

Like any boat it needs to be weighted properly. I ride with a guy that is as close to pro as you can get. He doesn't feel like he is going to outgrow the wake. We run stock plus v-drive bags and a ski locker bag. Boat handles great. My previous boat was a 2001. I prefer the solid rampy wake. Much easier on the body. As they say it's not bow and arrow it's the indianUpload
