Im in the market for a new wakeboard. Im 5 11 170 lbs. My last wakeboard was an 06 Byerly with Byerly bindings. I rode it with the center fin out because I really like a loose feeling board. Here are the board Im looking at. Byerly Monarch Hyperlite Sub 6 CWB Transcend Hyperlite Murray LF Shane Please give me some opinions.

I dont like my boards that loose but I got a new 08 shane with 11-12 bindings on it that im looking to sell if you choose that board. Its a pretty loose board but not my preference.

Well Ive been riding for a long time but I dont get to ride that much. I ride pretty fearless Im not afraid to try anything so I like a lot of pop and really want soft landings. I know really light boards are the crave now and I think I would like a light one.

If you liked the 3 stage pop of your Byerly I'd go with the Shane, Transcend or the Monarch. The other two boards have a softer continuous style pop. Honestly your list consists of probably 5 of the best boards in the last couple years. Add the Marek and you've got the who's who of wicked shred sticks. I have my bias and think you too will like the Transcend, it's fast, loose, poppy and lands great. Honestly you picked a lot of good decks, you will not be disappointed. Demo if you can.

Eric, I'll sell the whole package for $400 but that doesnt include shipping. Shipping shouldn't be that much because you aren't that far away and I have a box that fits both the board and the boots.

Out of the ones there I would hit the shane, but I think you should add the witness to that list too. Such a sick board, its fast, poppy, loose, but feels controlled the whole time.

If you have the money go with the Marek (not on your list) if not the Monarch is fast and pops with a very smooth landing rode one at AWS demo days 2 weeks ago. My son rode the Marek and everything went into the flats.

On your list I would go with the Shane or the Murray... Why no Ronix man?

I was actually wanting a ronix but after I rode a friend of mine's parks board I decided it was to grippy feeling for me.

Don't decide on an Ibex ride... parks' boards are notorious for being hard to ride. Give a One or another board in the line a shot... change out the 1 inch fins before hand though with something smaller. They really are a good ride.

I see you are up in TN... you should cruise down to Guntersville in North AL for the Spring 2 Summer contest next weekend. http://www.wakefactory.net/events.html

I have a 2008 Murray 140 that I've been meaning to put for sale. Literally ridden 2x, in perfect condition... hit me up if interested. RANT: Not naming names. But I wish those who ride for or are affiliated with certain board companies would not blatantly plug their own product, unsolicited... over and over and over again.

RANT: Not to name and names... but I really hate it when people getting on a "help me pick a board thread" and advertise boards they are selling... over and over again. Hypocrite

I like my monarch, but don't think you can go wrong picking any of the boards on the list.

i have the monarch, murray and transcend from the list. i think i like the murray the best, then the transcend then the byerly. the murray is the most consistent, tracks the best and is the most fun to carve around on. the transcend is really good on popping vertically. the byerly is really full of pop but it is so light that i forget it is down there. plus, because it is really, really loose i have trouble getting it to track well. just my observations but i am an older rider with limited ability.

Gotta go with the Transcend, and make it a platinum. Tons of pop and very light weight.
