Florida Residents???

We are possibly going to take a trip down to florida in july. We will either be pulling a camper or taking a tent since we dont have a lot of money to spend on the trip. We are going to go to destin/panama city area then on to orlando. can you camp on the beach or what? or would we have to find desinated camping areas for the camper or the tent?? any help would be appreciated..

Judging by the map, it looks as if it is right on the Gulf and in July Hurri's spring up in the Gulf so you may catch a swell while there or be evacuated. Ofcourse, living in the SE you probably already knew that.

I haven't been to either, but have heard good things about them from others.

I live in Panama City... You cant camp on the beach here or anywhere around here. There is the St.Andrews State Park on the beach. Its nice. Im not sure how prices go. It has good surf and skim. If your gonna stay there you prolly need to hurry and book, I think it stays pretty full.

Oh yeh, im prety sure that KOA shut down, but im really not sure you will just have to call.
