just keep saving. 5 bucks here and there saves up fast. find part time jobs, there is a lot of cash to be made out there. don't say you can't work because of school. Think about every hour of tv you watch a week could be 5-25 bucks per hour. Just get out there and earn it.

Well, if you have a older model ... or have if you outgrew your board ... if you can afford it ... how long is the season ... how old are you?

First off buy a 2002 not a 2003, there the exact same design, but the 2002's are cheaper. Have a look on the classified add on this phorum there are some gooddeals there. But basically you gotta pay for it yourself, just find a part time job, mow lawns whatever it takes.

ask grandma or grandpa that's what grandparents are for and your parents can never say no to their own mom or dad

What's wrong with your board that you have to change so soon? I still ride my '97 Nelson double up and in the last couple of months have I started to think about getting a new board (due to my change in riding style).

I am confused why everyone seems to have to buy the newest model each and every year.

Just my 2 cents.

Just buy one on Ebay. Your parents have to pay for it then. Tell them it will ruin your credit if they don't pay for it. Tell them you bought it accidently and you will pay them back. Parents never really make you pay them back.

Tell your parents that it's peer pressure. Everyone else is doing it! HaHa. What you need to do is get your parents involved. Show them magazines and literature about wakeboarding and the new board you want. Tell them all about the specs and positives about that board. Make sure they understand that you have done your homework on what you want. Also make sure your parents understand your passion and love for the sport. Be sure to tell them that you've been working hard in school (which hopefully you have) and that wakeboarding is your way to get away from everything and release stress.

I just bought a board and hid it in the closet. Eventually they saw it but by that time there was no way I could take it back. If you save up the money, then you spend it.

Try to sell your old board on ebay or in the classifieds, that can get you some more money to your new board

Dont sell your board, you wont get much for it anyway and it means more to you if it is the board you learned on. I will never sell my 99' CWB.

Jack your 13 and want a 141?? You must be a very large 13?? As for convincing them, sorry no support here...im a parent and unless your throwing backrolls and 360's off the fluid id opt not to buy you a brand new board. Get a part time job for the summer mowing grass, delivering papers, washing cars anything and buy it yourself, while your at it maybe you could chip in to dad for the boat gas?? I hope i dont sound like a stick in the mudd but you know money dont grow on trees and boards aint cheap.

I've had the smae problem for a while. I talked to my mom and dad and my dad would let me do what ever I wanted but my mom is always saying no. I am 14 and i've saved up every penny to get one. Just the word wakeboard makes her want to strangle me.

ok, first off, make sure you are willing to pay every single cent that board costs, you need to pay it all by yourself, and just tell them that it's your money and you can spend your money on something you want. and it deafinitely won't be a waste right? but one last thing, just make sure you save up some extra money to put in the bank...this is what my parents make me do. Three months ago I bought myself a pair of CD turntables and a mixer. Bought it all with my own money then I put the rest (couple hundred bucks) in the bank. Tell them you are saving it for college. College, you are saving for college. or a car. whatever.
