I can see the "symbolism" and name-representation of pretty much all the board companies emblems, all except for CWB. I cant quite make it out... make any sure sense of it...

http://www.wakeworld.com/WWImages/News/2007/cwblogo.gif

The only thought i have is that the white area on the left looks like a "C" and the black squiggly in the middle kinda resembles a "w" and the white area on the right vaguely resembles a "B"

INPUT anyone?

(I like Hyperlite's emblem a lot with the symmetry and i like Ronix too, the backwards "R" resembles an "S" and a #1 combined to represent "square 1" but at the same time is an "R" for Ronix... pretty creative huh?.)

(Feel free to open conversation about other emblems too)

it's obvious to me that it's a "c."

It's looks like a G to me. I don't see CWB in the logo at all.

I don't think it says anything. Its more of a symbol, or a representation for the company. Not all emblems or symbols have the company name in them. Mercedes Benz and Chevy for instance are the same way. They say nothing about the company but we relate those emblems to those companies.

CWB, Stands for "Connelly Wake Boards"
Connelly builds Water skis. Connelly had to change it up when they got into the wakeboading field some years back. Due to the younger more hip crowd,(Demographics) they modified the name and their look but, it's the same company.

okay,
this is what i see..look at the emblem like this..the white area has a C and B, (not clear, but i think thats what they are) and i think the W is the middle bottom of the whole emblem in black..almost looks like an arrow pointing down..so it goes in order with the white C..then the arrow looking W, then the white B to the right..anyone..?

Hhaha where do you think Hyperlite came from and O'brien came from, they were both ski companies just like CWB.

^^^ Ya, except that O'Brien doesn't hide behind anything.

I always thought it was funny when you say the whole name out:

Connelly Wake Board Board Co.

Who puts the same word twice in their name...and right in a row!

That said, the Marius is the next board I want :-)

If CWB's symbol really is just that... a symbol, than i guess they are standing alone on that aspect...(for the wake co.s) which isn't necessarily a bad thing... makes them unique i guess. (i personally like to look into the possible meaning and art... maybe i am analyzing it too much. Oh well)

Maybe a CWB rep will get on here and reveal it all for us

till then i think i will side with a white "c" and "b" and a black "w"

I am about to give up my current theory for Jason G's... simply due to the fact that i am still laughing and snickering after writing this and attaching a modification.

I'm pretty sure it's just a "C" that stands for Connelly.

why does it have to have cwb in it? why cant it just be a logo?
Old     (wakerider111)      Join Date: Jul 2006       10-19-2007, 10:27 AM Reply
it doesnt have to have the name in it... it can be just a logo... it's just that all the other logos have something to do with the name. Hyperlite,(looks like "hy" either way you look at it... also there is another logo that is an HL) Obrien,(is an o and a w combined) Ronix (is an R and also a S and a 1 at the same time), Liquid Force (water drop of course) Gator ('gator eye or the often seen GB) Need i go on?

I just "EXPECT" to see some kind of symbolism, thats all and was wondering if i was just looking at it wrong.

If CWB is breaking from that stereotype than that is fine
Old     (wakerider111)      Join Date: Jul 2006       10-19-2007, 10:31 AM Reply
Speaking of Obrien... i kinda wish they would bring back the old bubble logo... i kinda miss that, i thought it was kool. But i'd have to say the new one takes on more of an "extreme" look to match this "extreme" sport of ours.
