I am looking at transferring to Phoenix next Spring/Summer. I would really prefer to find a house that is on a lake that I can ride on. I am not sure if that even exists in the Phoenix area. Would be interested if anyone knows of any areas where they have houses on lakes in Phoenix or in the nearby area (within 45 minutes of Phoenix. Thanks in advance!!

There are a few residential waterski lake communities in the Phoenix area, Crystal Point, Santan Lakeside and Laguna Point I think there are a few more too. All of our big lakes are in the national forest so there is no homes on them.

There is a big wake scene in AZ. Just feel it out once you get there. Join the AWA and you will be in there like swimwear...

Arizona doesn't sell much lake side realestate due to the fact that most all of the lakes are owned by the state/or reservation so they are protected lands. But driving is never a problem even on the weekends. It's a better lake state than many people would believe.

I live 3 min. from the lake I ride on in Chandler AZ. We keep the boat at the lake. You just have to pay a membership fee every year.

The lake is actually two lakes with an island seperating them. They are both over half a mile long and are about 300 ft wide. They only allow 2 boats at a time(one on each lake). So you always have good water unless it is really windy. There is about 15-20 members but on an average day there is only 2 other boats at the lake besides yours. Memberships are about $2000 for the year but that includes boat storage. Check out our website for some pictures taken on the lake.
