I used to be on the board a while ago... but havent been on in like a year. So this is my new account. (I forget my old one)

Anyways, my dad know this guy that buys old boats, restores them and sells them. He does probably like 200 boats a year, so we asked him to find us a good boat for wakeboarding. We already have a '95 Mastercraft Barefoot 200 (my dad is a barefooter) but the wake is only good if we load the hell out of it with weight. Even so, I've been on more all around boats like maxums, and they have kicked up a better wake. My dad's boat is also an outboard, which is great for everything but wakeboarding.

Well, this boat this guy found is a 1990 ChrisCraft (CrisCraft?). It's 23' long, and it's an inboard. I don't think it's center driven, but I'm not complaining because we are getting it for about $2500 canadian $$$... and apparently its running. He said the interior needs to be re-done, but it's useable. He also said the motor might tick a bit. Which we can fix. So he is going to get my dad pictures, and if we like it... we are driving to Florida in the next few weeks to pick it up! :-)

Finally something my friends can drive, as it's not an expensive barefoot boat! This guy my dad knows says it's an awsome deal. He says it's worth prolly $6000 - $8000 as it stands, and if we dont buy it, he will take it and make it worth $18,000. I've seen the boats he's restored, he's amazing. They completely re-do everything.

Blah blah blah... I'm talking a lot. I'm just really really looking forward to boarding as I havent since last summer. I get to start again in two weeks :-)

then after the summer, i will start restoring it for the next summer

can this guy find older wakeboarding boats and get an canadian price? i am in the market looking for a deal on a boat but for used wakeboarding boats in Ont canada your looking at 35 grand which my dad doesn;t have the extra for!

well he doesnt usually do smaller boats, or wakeboarding boats... usually bigger boats from 25' and up. also, where are you getting 35 grand from? i told you i was paying $2500 canadian. im in ONT Canada too! im only getting it that cheap because we know him really well and we exchange favours. he would normally do up a boat like new... and charge like $20,000 canadian for it.

where abouts are u in ontario?

i'm getting 35 grand from the dealers and its the cheapest wakeboard boat i have seen.

I am originally from whitby, but haven;t lived there since i was 18, but i spend my summers in muskoka working and waking!

awsome... i hear mukoka is pretty sweet!

yes 35 grand is prolly the cheapest for a wake boat. im not getting a wake boat. im getting a 1990 23' criscraft (chriscraft? spelling?) with a v8 engine. its definately not a wakeboarding boat. did they even have wakeboarding boats back then? im just going to soup it up a bit to make it a wakeboarding boat.

but i havent even seen it yet. it mightbe horrible. we are just going by what this guy is saying. so we'll make a decision when we see it. if we like it, off to florida we go

apparently this is a '90 chris craft.

the same dudes in florida are selling it, but this is not the exact boat im getting. keep in mind this one looks pretty because the guy we know already restored it.

anyways, my dad and i might be going next weekend to florida to pick it up. i also found out it doesnt have a winshield. but for $2500 thats not gonna stop me! and i was wrong, its not 23' long, its 24' long

anyways, everyone have a good may 24 weekend! im out later
