Anyone out there with larger feet use or have tried on the 05 Murray bindings? I am a size 13 shoe and am looking to get them but won't be able to try them on before I do and am not sure whether to get an xl or xxl. I have read some reviews and so many people have said how hard they are to get in and out of. I have used the xl 05 byerlys and they start hurting my feet after about 15 minutes of riding. Do they both have a comparable fit? Any thoughts? Thanks

I have size 12's and ride XL byerly's pretty comforably but murrays run a little big so I cut them down. I would think XL murray would be fine. But to be safe you could get XXL and cut them down if need be.

BTW I had the temets, which were the older (but same design) murrays.

I wear 12's and I have 05 Murray's in L and they are super tight. The XL's actually fit me perfectly, but I picked the L's up for 100 dollars used. There's a guy on here named Garrett S. who is size 14, wears XL's and says they are perfect.

wow...you have XL and your feet are hurting? You must not be wearing those correctly. Do your feet even exit out of the overlay area onto the toepad? 11.5 is a tad small for a person wearing an XL.

By the way, the temets being hard to get out of has nothing to do with size. They were designed very much like snowboard boots, build to keep you in...so when it comes to getting out, you just have to learn the trick to get em off...you'll figure it out. However, it sucks for teaching kids, even ones my age, because they will all but start crying because they can't get out of em. Get the XLs.

I took a run on a byerly board, but with 05 bindings. They were HUGE! I actually flew out of them when I took a VERY minor spill.

mjw...if your boots are parks, then what does that have to do with the temets?

from your previous post...

"mine where 04 parks"

It sounds like you were talking about the parks. Not the Murrays.

garret, thats why I dont ride em anymore. And you can barely see my toes, but yet the overlays are way to tight.

weird. You should try to adjust those, you can actually move the overlay out...

I might have my terms wrong, its the foam that goes over the foot (underlays?). Even if I dont tighten them, they hurt my feet. Maybe they have the wrong foam?

DJ- the only thing that goes OVER the foot is the OVERlay. There shouldnt be any foam on that, as the overlay is pretty much a rubber/plastic cover that keeps your foot locked in.

Do you consider the overlay to be the rubber part that tightens down when you turn the boa, or everything that goes over the foot (there are 2 peices, one is rubber and is adjustable and tightens down, the other is the top part of the boot, that im calling the foam part

Its not the rubber/boa part that is too tight, I dont even tighten that down, its the other part.

i consider the overlay just the area with the laces.
