I've never been to a cable park but i'm curious to know what speed you ride at because in wakeboard movies it looks like the cable goes really slow. if anyone knows what speed the cable goes at please let me know.

At OWC, the "beginer" side was like 16-17 and the other was more like 20-22 I think. They are adjustable and the equipment is made in Europe, so you have to be able to convert Kmh to mph, which I don't do well.

The top speed that they usually run the advanced cable is 32kph (20mph). The beginner cable is 27-29kph (17-18mph). Dispite that fact that 20mph is slow for riding behind a boat, it is actually on the fast side for a cable. I'm not sure why but you don't want to go as fast on a cable as a boat. I normally ride at 22-23 on the boat.

I think the turns would rip you out of your boots if they went any faster! Seriously, once you have figured out where you want to be through the turns it's really pretty smooth.

I think the ave. speed for most cables is 19, I'm pretty sure ski rixen is about 19ish and when I was at o-dub I thought I heard the operator say it was on 19 as well.

The Rixen cable is run slower than OWC. I believe it is usually 29Kph (18mph). I've only been there a couple times. The OWC cable is normally run at 32Kph (19.8 mph). In the past it varied between 30 (18 1/2) and 32 but lately they've been keeping it at 32.

Hey, just wondering if anyone can tell me what happens when you fall down at he cable park? Do you have to climb out and get back in line or what?
