Lots of skynyrd, aerosmith, eagles, third day..stuff like that.

So on the raley, pretty much just sack up and go for it?? any tips on technique or anything? where could i find some instruction on it?

How do you post pics and vids??
Old     (eliotflydog)      Join Date: Jun 2007       07-17-2007, 5:18 PM Reply
i have no clue on posting videos or pics but for the railly all u have to do is take a real hard edge into it make sure u ride all the way up the wake and let ur feet float out behind you. after ur fully extended u will feel a pull go through your body and at that point pull the rope down to your knees and get ready to take a couple of hard hits

The best tower speakers you will find are wet sounds, they give me head aches and i ride at 75-80 feet

What rope would you guys recommend? I finally let my rope out all the way (70ft plus handle) and I feel I want to be farther out (more airtime, going bigger, etc).
And how long is th is line:

idk mike ive nevr had that before but maybe try pullin ur self around with your arms pritty hard....im normal footed and wen i do mine i usually grab wit my left hand than pull hard wit my right arm and that brings me around..i really dont no to much and prob not the best coach tho...good luck
Old     (dlwsrider)      Join Date: Apr 2007       07-18-2007, 7:45 PM Reply
Hey dude, when you go into the wake, take a semi hard, seated cut into the wake from about 20 feet out, when you pop off the wake, rotate your shoulders and grab the nose of the board, once you have finished the rotation (the nose grab helps you rotate), look towards the shore after you spot your landing, this will help you land over your toes.
Old     (aces6692)      Join Date: Nov 2006       07-18-2007, 8:45 PM Reply
hey guys, im thinking about getting a new rope and am wondering how the accurate A-line is
Old     (brody)      Join Date: Jul 2006       07-18-2007, 8:55 PM Reply
When I do HS 180s I rotate my shoulders and hips so that I land over my toes and do not slip out. The rotation is mostly in the shoulders. Just make sure you wait until the height of your jump to rotate.

Oh and how are you doing on TS jumps, Mike?

yep, i prolly shouldnt hav rode this afternoon.. my ankle is officially slammed. i did a few 1's and 3's then did another tantrum. i landed it and all but it had me doubled over in pain. i ges its the landing thats the hardest on it b/c i rode a little longer and it felt alrite just spinning and grabs and stuff. but i'm gunna be outa town for a few days where i caint ride so hopefully by the time i get back it will be ok to ride..

Dan,
i know how u feel.. my dad just got up the other day and can cross both wakes.. i was stoked for him!

I was trying tantrums today and kneed myself in the eye pretty good. I have a good cut under my eye and a black eye now. Then I got back up and started riding again and a huge bug flew in my eye. I was still pulling bug peices out an hour later. I still had a good set though.

Josh C.I.E.= Concusion Isn't Enough. Also CWB Is Everything, that one is more of a joke though. Sorry about the ankle man that sucks, I'm going out this weekend to ride it's been like 3 weeks since I last rode, I'm going through withdrawl without my wakeboard fix.
Old     (brody)      Join Date: Jul 2006       07-20-2007, 9:59 AM Reply
Josh, I had that happen where it started hurting just to do jumps w2w, but it only hurt HS. It happened last year when I had my rope super-short and I would land in the flats every time. All of that impact on my left ankle just thrashed it.
Hope you get better.

First TS then HS BS then switch. I am going to Minnesota where I will be behind a ski boat wake where I will work on the the technical parts of wakeboarding (switch, surface tricks, adding grabs to tricks, etc).

idk man, switch 3's are easier than toeside 3's to me.

toeside spins may be fun, but they are hard to get down.

(my toe 5's are way more consistant than my toe 3's)
Old     (brody)      Join Date: Jul 2006       07-20-2007, 10:32 AM Reply
I'll try both, and just work at them until I get one or the other. But at the same time work at inverts.

I think I will be committing to wakeboarding soon, I will do a side sport at school (cross country & track) but will focus on boarding. Hopefully I can find a way to practice weekly, all year and then I will compete too.

i was in tampa this weekend and since my dad was thinking about sending me to "the wakeboard camp" he let me stop by and check it out on the way home. That place is SICK! i have never seen so many wakeboats at one time. haha. And they were all BRAND NEW!!! the had a 07 Mobius, a ( asuming it was a 07, couldnt tell because it was in the water) Supra, and FOUR 07 Malibus. i pretty much almost fell over after seeing that. Now all i hav to do is get the pops to let me go!! It was like wakeboarding heaven im pretty sure..haha. and the lake was GLASS. It was fairly breezy, but still, it was perfect..

Hav any of yal been there for the camp? wat was it like?

I think we are all pros at landing on our heads, that's my best trick. Go for the CWB Factions, they are so easy to get into with hinge tech they hold you in well and they are quite comfy.

caleb dont u think u could rotate a double backroll a lot faster then a temper tantrum
Old     (dlwsrider)      Join Date: Apr 2007       07-26-2007, 10:00 PM Reply
well, it started because i was riding in a double up contest the other day, and i did a huge tantrum off one of them (Pictures soon hopefully), and everyone said that if i had tucked and hucked, i could have easily done two.

plus if you have ever dug the nose on a roll off the double up, you know temper tantrums seem much more people friendly lol.
Old     (eliotflydog)      Join Date: Jun 2007       07-27-2007, 6:43 AM Reply
ya it would be a little bit more painful but whenever i start trying anything double im deffinatly going for backroll because i can do one of those behaind a jetski if i really huck it and i actually need a littlebit of a wake to do a tantrum
