I plan to ride my 08 recoil 138 with PB Floyds next week. Everything seems great, but wondering, are these liners going pop out on falls where I come out of the bindings? Seems like they might. I am planning on riding without the extra ankle supports.

Thanks!

From my multiple demo experiences last year (probably about a total of 15 sets on slingshot boards) I never had the liners pop out... but then again i don't think i ever crashed hard enough to completely come out anyway.

I am nearly positive that the liners will ALWAYS stay with the boot. There is more resistance/ friction on the liner against the shell in coming out than your foot against the liner.

Also, if you are worried about having to pull the liners out with your foot when removing the board... DONT BE. I know alot of guys who complained about this for '07. The reason being, THOSE guys didn't loosen the laces completely. Loosen all the laces completely till the tongue opens up like a trap door (the same as when you first screw the bindings to the board)hold onto the liner and the shell then take out your foot. It should be nearly as easy as removing your night-time slippers.

Also, the easiest way to put the liners back in is to invert your hand (palm up) then insert your hand inside the liner like a foot till your fingers touch the end of the toe box. Then insert the liner into the boot, curving your hand in a cupping manner to bend the foot portion of the liner into the foot area of the binding shell. hopefully that makes sense

i've herd that some prefer to put on the liners first then put on the binding... i personally found this harder and i think it will put unnecessary wear on the liner. Again, loosen the laces all the way is KEY!... With the PB Floids i immagine this won't be a problem due to the hiking boot style of lace loops. loosening should be WAY EASY.

fyi I like the D2s

good luck

I had two rides on my floyds before the weather went to crap. One ride with the braces & one without. I prefer the braces as there is less heel lift. I didn't take any real hard falls, but they stayed put when I did fall. I def. like them better than the Drivers..........

I got tired of the 3 lace system so I removed one of the outside laces and used the other one for the whole outside lace. They are long enough to do this (as they are way too long to be half laces) and if you leave the inner lace there to keep you in nice and tight, then the outer lace does not have to be nearly as cranked down. Makes it way easier to get in and out of, just like regular bindings.

also just a lil info.. the 07 bindings are a lot different than the 08s... being that the 08s take 2 seconds to get in and out and the 07s take like 2 hours... exageration yeah but you get the point :-) i dont know as far as the ejection goes but it will most likely be different than the 07s
